Released on November 7, 2025, the four-track EP features Hayes’ interpretations of ‘Winter Wonderland,’ ‘Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas,’ ‘Silent Night,’ and ‘Run Run Rudolph.’ Each song is infused with his signature blend of heartfelt storytelling and genre-bending musicianship. Recording with Intention
The EP was recorded in Los Angeles during a brief break from touring in July. Hayes and his band seized the opportunity to collaborate in the studio, aiming to create a ‘calm Christmas’ vibe with a chill, dreamy, jazz-inspired take on the season. Hayes shared, ‘For me, Christmas music has always been about spending time with the people you love, and I hope this project becomes part of those moments.’
Embracing the Holiday Spirit
Beyond the EP, Hayes is embracing the holiday spirit in other ways. He recently collaborated with a cappella group Straight No Chaser on their new holiday single, ‘Christmas Is Different,’ and made a surprise appearance during their performance at the Ryman Auditorium. Additionally, Hayes is set to perform at Louisiana Christmas Day on November 30 and will serve as the Grand Marshal for the 50th Anniversary of the Gatlinburg Fantasy of Lights Christmas Parade on December 5.
A Personal Connection
Hayes’ connection to the Gatlinburg parade is deeply personal. Reflecting on his role as Grand Marshal, he said, ‘I have a deep love and appreciation for that whole part of Tennessee.
