Nicki Minaj’s ‘Pink Friday 2’ Tour Sets New Records and Paves Way for Sixth Album

Nicki Minaj’s ‘Pink Friday 2’ tour has made history, becoming the highest-grossing tour by a female rapper and the fourth-highest among all hip-hop artists.

Spanning from March to October 2024, the tour generated over $108 million in revenue from its first 70 shows. This achievement underscores Minaj’s enduring influence in the music industry.

The tour’s success has also earned it a nomination for Hip-Hop Tour of the Year at the upcoming 2025 Pollstar Awards. Minaj’s accolades continue with her nomination for Best Rap Song and Best Song Written for Visual Media, alongside Ice Spice, for ‘Barbie World’ at the 66th Annual Grammy Awards.

Additionally, she led the nominations among women for the BET Awards 2024, securing six nods and winning Best Female Hip Hop Artist for the seventh time, marking her first win in this category since 2016. In a groundbreaking moment, ‘Pink Friday 2’ became the first album by a solo female artist to win Album of the Year at the 2024 BET Hip Hop Awards. Initially planning to release a deluxe version titled ‘Gag City Reloaded,’ Minaj announced in September 2024 that she had decided to focus instead on creating her sixth studio album. Fans eagerly await this new project, anticipating another chapter in Minaj’s illustrious career.
