U2 has unveiled ‘Street of Dreams,’ the lead single from their forthcoming studio album, marking their first new material in nine years. The track, produced by Jacknife Lee, was released on July 7, 2026, and is available on digital platforms.

Filming the Video in Mexico City

The accompanying music video was filmed in Mexico City in May 2026. The shoot took place near Plaza Santo Domingo and attracted a large crowd of fans. During the filming, a thunderstorm caused a generator to fail, leading a local family to invite the band to continue filming on their apartment balcony. This impromptu setting added a unique element to the video.

Upcoming Album and Anniversary

The forthcoming album, yet to be titled, is expected to be released later this year. This will be U2’s first studio album of new material since 2017. The release coincides with the band’s 50th anniversary, as they formed in September 1976.

‘Street of Dreams’ is now available for streaming and download on major digital platforms.
