Australian indie band Boy & Bear are poised to release their sixth studio album, ‘Tripping Over Time,’ on December 12, 2025. Announced on October 17, the album delves into themes of personal growth and the relentless passage of time.
Lead vocalist and guitarist Dave Hosking shared insights into the album’s concept, stating, ‘The record predominantly is about how time changes us. We grow up, our priorities shift, our lives move onto new chapters and with this comes new insights but also new challenges. It’s a balancing act of reflecting or even yearning for our youth whilst also embracing life as it inevitably moves forward. So, I think the record’s emotional core is really about finding peace in who we are and who we’ve become. It’s about self-growth.’
The album’s tracklist includes titles such as ‘Where Does Life Begin,’ ‘Vertigo,’ and ‘All These Years,’ suggesting a deep exploration of life’s transitions and the emotions accompanying them. To celebrate the release, Boy & Bear have scheduled a special performance on the steps of the Sydney Opera House on December 14, 2025.
This event promises to be a memorable occasion, offering fans a live experience of the new material in an iconic setting. ‘Tripping Over Time’ marks a significant milestone in Boy & Bear’s discography, reflecting their evolution as artists and individuals. Fans eagerly anticipate the album’s release and the insights it promises to offer into the band’s journey through time and change.
