After years of anticipation and multiple delays, A$AP Rocky has finally provided fans with a concrete release date for his forthcoming album, ‘Don’t Be Dumb.’
During his headlining performance at the Camp Flog Gnaw festival on November 23, 2025, the Harlem rapper took the stage wearing a custom jacket emblazoned with the date ‘January 16, 2026,’ signaling the album’s imminent arrival.
This announcement marks a significant shift from Rocky’s previous stance on discussing release timelines. In an October 2025 interview with Numéro Magazine, he expressed reluctance to set specific dates, stating, ‘I’m done talking about release dates. I’ve learned that setting deadlines just gets in the way.
The work will speak for itself. One day you’ll wake up, and it’ll be there.’ ‘Don’t Be Dumb’ will be Rocky’s first studio album since 2018’s ‘Testing.’ The project has faced several postponements, initially slated for an August 30, 2024 release before being delayed to an unspecified date in fall 2024. In March 2025, Rocky confirmed that the album was in the mixing and mastering stages, emphasizing his desire to deliver a polished and innovative body of work.
The album is expected to feature an impressive roster of collaborators, including producers such as Pharrell Williams, Mike Dean, Madlib, Metro Boomin, and The Alchemist. Additionally, Rocky has revealed that renowned composer Danny Elfman contributed by scoring several tracks on the album.
Fans have already been treated to singles like ‘Highjack’ featuring Jessica Pratt, ‘Tailor Swif,’ and ‘Ruby Rosary’ featuring J. Cole, offering a glimpse into the album’s diverse soundscape.
With the official release date now set, anticipation is at an all-time high for what promises to be a landmark addition to A$AP Rocky’s discography.
